INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS FOR HOT TUB USE
The Hot Tub has been drained, cleaned, refilled and treated to ensure it is correctly sanitized. Here are some hot tub safety rules everyone should be aware of before use.
The hot tub is to be used responsibly. Please do not allow children to jump or dive into the water. Children must not use the hot tub unsupervised at any time.
Do NOT use a hot tub if you are taking any medication that makes you drowsy or affects your circulation or if you are pregnant. Do not use the hot tub if you have a medical condition without discussing it with your doctor first.
Do NOT use the hot tub if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs as your judgment will be impaired and you could become unconscious and drown.
AVOID HOT TUB RASH! We provide you with a sanitized hot tub when you arrive. Please use the test strips we provide to check the chlorine level after each use. After use all the chlorine may be attached to bacteria introduced through the air, on skin, etc. with none left to keep the tub sanitary. Bacteria on the skin causes “hot tub rash.”
It is important to check your chemicals. Directions to test water are listed below.
Please rinse off your suits and shower BEFORE using the tub to remove makeup, sun-screen, insect repellent or any other oil-based products. This allows for better a better hot tub experience. Otherwise, the tub may become “foamy” or oily due to soap residue on your skin and bathing suits.
It is recommended that you have someone in the hot tub with you. If not, make sure a responsible person at the home knows you are in the tub and for how long.
Be aware of the amount of time you have been in the tub. Soaking in the warm water can raise your body temperature to an unhealthy level. 15-minutes in water no warmer than 104 degrees Fahrenheit is considered safe; if you want to use the tub for a longer period, take a break. Soaking in the warm water can dehydrate you, which could lead to nausea, dizziness, or fainting. Take breaks from the hot tub and drink water before getting back in.
Please use plastic glasses if taking drinks into the tub. Do not take beer bottles or other glass near the hot tub.
Note: Indiscriminately pressing buttons on the control panel may result in the tub going into Standby Mode and not heat.
Please leave the hot tub COVERED when not in use to keep foreign elements out of the tub and to maintain its heat.
PLEASE SHOWER OFF AFTER USING THE HOT TUB. Chlorinated hot tub water on your hair, skin, bathing suites, etc. will damage and discolor our sheets, furniture, rugs, etc. You will be held financially responsible if such damage occurs.
After use, the hot tub may need some attention
Directions to test water
After use, dip a test strip into the water and pull out in 3 seconds to check for chlorine.
Hold level for 15 seconds. (Do not shake excess water from strip.)
The chlorine square color should be a lavender to purple color.
If the test strip shows a very pale color, add a scoop (found in chlorine bottle) of chlorine. Put it in the tub and turn on the jets a few minutes. This will keep it sanitary and smelling clean.
NOTE: When hot tub is not in use, from time to time, you may hear the motor running which means the tub is heating to keep it up to temperature.
THE USE OF THE HOT TUB BY ANY MEMBER OF THE RENTAL GROUP,
INCLUDING VISITORS, IS ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK.
