This private home listed on the National Register of Historic Places was built in the 1870's and converted into an Inn in 2014. Full of special touches, it features 13-foot ceilings, arched double-doors, and beautiful crown molding. Rooms are spacious and filled with light from the grand, original windows. Enjoy the private, covered back porch with your morning coffee or watch the sunset over the mountains with an evening cocktail.
The home includes two, two-bedroom, one bath suites: the Atkinson Suite and the Bennett Suite. The Atkinson Suite has one king size bed and one full size bed and sleeps four people. The Bennett Suite has two full size beds and sleeps four people. The Atkinson Suite features its own living room, a dining room, a private kitchen, and private back porch. There is a shared front porch and off-street parking.
Rent one suite or the entire home. If you choose to rent both suites, we will open the large arched doors between the two private parlors for full use of the home.
Amenities
The home is fully stocked for your vacation needs with complimentary tea and coffee, red and white wine, beer, granola bars, chocolate, and a chef's kitchen ready for you to use. Enjoy plush towels, bathrobes, and our Aveda bath products. A hair dryer, make-up wipes, iron, ironing board, coat hangers, and wireless Internet are available. The Inn uses Pristine Clean for its cleaning services and all natural cleaning products.
Outdoors, enjoy a game of cornhole or use the fire pit for roasting marshmallows on cool mountain evenings. The owners live next door and have a kids zip line, ninja tree climbing course, and slack lines set up for little ones.
We want you to enjoy your stay in Asheville, unplug and unwind. Therefore, there are no TVs at the Inn.
Interaction with Guests
We are always available for questions, recommendations, emergencies, etc. While each suite is private, be aware that this is an Inn and unless you rent the entire house expect to hear some noise from other guests in the home.
The Neighborhood
The Inn is located in the thriving community of West Asheville. There are a dozen bars, breweries, coffee shops, farm to table restaurants, and cute and quirky shops within walking distance. We are two miles from downtown Asheville or South Slope and a half mile from New Belgium Brewing in the River Arts District. Here is a list of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Looking for some pampering? De La Terre Skincare offers several treatments in their store near the River Arts District. Check out the local farmer's market or bike along the French Broad River Park's many paved paths. It is a very family friendly neighborhood.
Getting Around
Asheville has a bus system, taxis, Uber, Lyft, sidewalks, and many bike racks to help you get around in your preferred style. The Inn has easy access to the interstate and local attractions.
